RESPIPLUS is responsible for all personal information under its custody or control. The Executive Director of RESPIPLUS has been appointed as Privacy Officer for RESPIPLUS. The Privacy Officer may delegate day-to-day responsibility for administration of this Policy to other employees, but the Privacy Officer remains accountable for RESPIPLUS’ handling of personal information.

4.       Purposes for Collecting, Using and Disclosing Personal Information

We collect information to find out which pages in the Website people visited, and how often and how long they stayed. In addition, we may use demographic data combined with information you provide and use this aggregate information to better design our Website and to improve our educational materials. We may share this aggregate non-nominative information with our advertisers, licensees, and/or other business partners with whom we link. We do not sell, barter, trade or give away your personally identifiable information to any third parties.

Mailing List: RESPIPLUS collects and uses personal information (name and email address) from individuals who have taken the option to be part of our mailing list to send them information about updates on our educational materials, products and/or services.

RESPIPLUS employees with access to personal information are required to respect the confidentiality of that information pursuant to their employment agreement with RESPIPLUS. Employees also participate in privacy training. RESPIPLUS implements methods of protecting personal information that include limiting access to the information, restricting access to offices where information is held and technological measures such as passwords.

RESPIPLUS will endeavour to respond to any such request as quickly as possible and, in any event, within the legally required time periods. Subject to certain exceptions and limitations prescribed by law, an individual will be given access to any personal information RESPIPLUS holds about the individual. RESPIPLUS will correct or amend personal information that is shown to be incomplete or inaccurate.
